Diamond Ascent was a small project I worked on to test different social media algorithms. My love for mountaineering and rock climbing naturally lead me to produce design work on this subject. I designed the logo and created TikTok and YouTube ‘shorts’ to see how a new brand can make an impact using the powerful algorithms of both apps. During this process I discovered just how powerful the algorithms were as the videos received thousands of views with the first few hours.

Logo
The logo was ultimately inspired by Longs Peak which resides in the Rocky Mountain National Park. The mountain has a feature called the diamond which is a 1000 foot rock face near the peak. So naturally I incorporated the diamond into the design. Likewise, the need to climb and ascend mountains is illustrated by the mountains pointing upward like ascending arrows.
